Agent Forja builds a shopping assistant for a WooCommerce store from the store’s address. It reads your catalogue and your policy pages, then answers shoppers from them and shows real products with photos and prices. There’s no WordPress plugin to install and no API key to create.
What it reads
- Your products, through WooCommerce’s public Store API — the one your shop’s own cart and product blocks use. That includes variations, prices, sale prices, stock status and photos. Up to 10,000 products.
- Your policy and help pages — shipping, returns, FAQ, about and contact.
- Only what your storefront already shows the public. It never asks for WordPress or WooCommerce admin access, so it doesn’t see drafts, customers or orders.
If the Store API is switched off, or blocked by a security plugin, Agent Forja reads the store page by page instead, using the product details your theme publishes for search engines.
What shoppers can do with it
- Ask in their own words — “a gift under $50”, “is this in stock in blue?” — and get products from your catalogue as cards, each with a photo, the price and a link to its page on your store.
- Ask about shipping, returns and anything else your policy pages cover.
- Ask for a person. The chat is flagged in your dashboard, and emailed to you once you’ve set a team email; answer from either and your reply appears in their chat — see how handoff works.
Answers come from your store, not from the internet. When the exact thing isn’t there, it says so and offers the closest real thing you sell.
Keeping it up to date
Every night Agent Forja reads your store again — products, prices, sizes and key pages. After a big change you can also press Sync on the agent’s Data tab.
What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t take orders or payment itself. With Buy now, a shopper picks a size in the chat and lands on your store with it in the cart; they pay on your checkout.
- It can’t look up or change a specific order, because it has no access to your orders. A shopper asking about one can be handed to you.
- It doesn’t send emails to shoppers or change anything in WordPress.
- It’s text chat on your site and on its own link. Instagram and Messenger direct messages are coming soon; WhatsApp and phone aren’t supported.
Adding it to WordPress
- Create a free account and paste your store’s address. The catalogue imports while you watch — typically two to five minutes, depending on its size.
- Answer the builder’s questions — how the assistant should sound, what it should leave to you — and give it the email that should get handoffs. Try it in the Preview tab.
- Publish, then copy the one-line snippet from the Share screen.
- Add the snippet to the footer of every page: many themes have a setting for footer scripts, or use any plugin that inserts code before
</body>.
The assistant also has its own link you can share anywhere, and on the Share screen you can limit which websites may embed it.
What it costs
- Free — $0, no card needed: 1 agent, 20 chats a month.
- Starter — $49 a month or $490 a year: 3 agents, 100 chats a month.
- Pro — $99 a month or $990 a year: 5 agents, 250 chats a month, priority support.
A chat counts only once the agent has given 3 replies, so a "hi" or one quick question is free. A long chat counts once more at its 16th reply and stops at 30 replies. Only the agent's replies count — never the visitor's messages, and never the owner's own building and testing. Prices are in US dollars; tax may be added at checkout. Cancel any time — see pricing for the details.
