Who and what
- Name
- Agent Forja
- Website
- agentforja.com
- What it is
- Agent Forja is an AI shopping assistant for online stores — and it works for restaurants and support desks too. You paste your store's address (or upload your files), shape the agent by chatting with a builder — no code, no prompt to write — and put it on your site as a chat widget or share its link. It helps shoppers find the right product from your own catalogue, with photos and prices, answers what stops them buying from your own pages, and hands the conversation to you when a person is needed.
- Category
- AI shopping assistant for online stores (also used for customer support), built without code.
- Made by
- Agent Forja is built by a team of developers working on applied AI. The team started work on it on 19 April 2025 and ships improvements regularly. You can reach us at support@agentforja.com.
- Not to be confused with
- No. Forja CLI (forjabots.com) is a different product from a different company. Agent Forja (agentforja.com) has no command-line tool and doesn't run on WhatsApp or Telegram (Instagram and Facebook Messenger direct messages are coming soon): it's an AI shopping assistant that lives on your own store's website, as a chat widget, and on a link you can share.

Who it's for
- For
- Small businesses that answer the same customer questions every day and don't have a developer or a support team: online shops — on Shopify, WooCommerce or any other platform — restaurants, tutors, service businesses and support desks.
- Not for
- It isn't the right tool if you need chat on WhatsApp (Instagram and Messenger direct messages are coming soon); order lookups or changes ("Where's my order?") — not yet; a live-chat inbox for a team of support agents; or bookings and payments taken inside the chat. And if you're on Shopify and Shopify's free Inbox app already does what you need, keep it.
- Platforms
- Yes. Shopify and WooCommerce stores are read directly through their public product feeds. Any other store is read by its web address: Agent Forja finds the product pages, including the product details your pages publish for search engines, and reads sites built with JavaScript in a real browser. You can also upload a CSV product list or connect a read-only PostgreSQL or MySQL database.
What it does
- Answers
- Whatever your pages, products and documents cover: products, prices, sizes and colours, shipping, returns, opening hours, menus, policies, how-tos. It answers from your business's own information, not from the internet.
- Products
- Yes. A shopper asks in their own words — "a warm jacket under $100" — and gets real products from your catalogue as cards with a photo, the price and a link to the product page. It doesn't offer what can't be bought right now.
- Buying
- For Shopify and WooCommerce stores, yes: Buy now lets the shopper pick a size or colour in the chat and go straight to your store's cart with it, then pay on your normal checkout. The agent itself never takes payment. For other stores, each product card links to its product page.
- Accuracy
- It's built not to. It answers only from your data, and every price, percentage, time and other number in a reply is checked against your data before the visitor sees it. If a number can't be confirmed, that sentence is held back, the visitor is told the team will confirm that detail, and the chat is passed to you. It can't give discounts or create coupon codes.
- People
- Yes. When a visitor asks for a person, the chat is flagged in your dashboard and, once you've set a team email, emailed to you. You answer from your inbox or the dashboard and your reply appears in their chat; the agent keeps helping with their other questions in the meantime. Write #done on its own line in an email reply to hand the chat back to the agent.
- For the owner
- Every conversation, searchable: For each agent, see what visitors asked and what it answered, whether it could help, and which chats are waiting for a person. Search by what people asked. Reply by email or from the dashboard: When a visitor asks for a person, the chat is flagged in your dashboard and, once you've set a team email, sent to your inbox too. Answer from either — your reply appears in their chat. Questions to answer: The questions your agent couldn't answer, grouped together, so you can add what's missing once and it knows from then on. A self-test score: Questions are written from your own pages, your agent answers them, and each answer is graded — "answered 27 of 30 correctly" — with what it got wrong. Shopper taps: How many visitors your agent sent to a product page, and how many tapped Buy now.
- Staying current
- Every night it reads your store again — products, prices, sizes and key pages — and you can press Sync after a big change. An uploaded file stays as it is until you upload a new one.
- Languages
- Shop agents are built to reply in the customer's own language, even when your catalogue is written in another one: the agent searches your products with the matching words and answers in the language the customer wrote in.
- AI models
- Your agent answers visitors with OpenAI's GPT-5 mini, chosen for fast, low-cost replies, and searches your products and documents with OpenAI embeddings so it understands meaning, not just keywords. The builder that interviews you runs on Anthropic's Claude. The AI providers process text under their API terms and don't train on it.
What it doesn't do
- Orders
- Not yet. It has no access to your orders, so it can't look one up, change an address or cancel — those chats are handed to you, and you answer them by email or from the dashboard.
- Bookings and payments
- No. It points people to your booking or ordering page, or hands them to you. Shoppers pay on your own checkout.
- Channels
- Instagram and Facebook Messenger are coming soon: you connect your account or Page, and your agent answers direct messages with the same knowledge it uses on your site. WhatsApp isn't supported. Today it's text chat on your website, as a widget, and on a link you can share anywhere — in emails, order confirmations or your social profiles.
Plans and prices
- Free
- $0, no card needed — 1 agent, 20 chats a month.
- Starter
- $49 a month, or $490 a year — 3 agents, 100 chats a month.
- Pro
- $99 a month, or $990 a year — 5 agents, 250 chats a month.
- How chats count
- A chat counts only once the agent has given 3 replies, so a "hi" or one quick question is free. A long chat counts once more at its 16th reply and stops at 30 replies. Only the agent's replies count — never the visitor's messages, and never the owner's own building and testing. A chat ends after 30 minutes of silence.
- Payments
- Paddle, our merchant of record. They handle cards, invoices, tax for your country and refunds. Prices shown are before any tax Paddle adds at checkout.
- Refunds
- Yes. Any first payment, monthly or yearly, is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days. A cancelled yearly plan gets back the months you haven't started yet, at one twelfth of the yearly price each, until 10 months have passed. Email support@agentforja.com — the full policy is at agentforja.com/refunds.
Setting it up
- Steps
- Create a free account, paste your website address or pick a starting point, answer the builder's questions, try it in the Preview tab, and publish. You get a link to share and a one-line embed code for your site.
- Time
- Usually a few minutes. A shop's catalogue typically imports in two to five minutes, depending on its size.
- On a website
- Paste one line of embed code into your website, just before </body>. It works on any website that lets you add code to its pages — Shopify, WooCommerce, WordPress or a custom-built store. Prefer not to touch code? On Shopify we can do it for you: in your Shopify admin go to Settings → Users and permissions → Add staff, enter support@agentforja.com and give access to Online Store → Themes only. We add the code and email you when it's live, and you can remove our access any time.
- Keys and apps
- No. Shopify and WooCommerce stores are read through their public product feeds, so there's no app to install and no API key to create. No. The AI is included in every plan — you don't need an OpenAI, Anthropic or any other API key.
Data and privacy
- Security
- Your data is stored encrypted at rest with Cloudflare, passwords are stored hashed, and a database connection is read-only with its connection string encrypted. Details are in the privacy policy at agentforja.com/privacy.
- AI training
- No. Your content is used to run your agents and is never sold. The AI providers (Anthropic and OpenAI) receive only the text needed to answer, and process it under their API terms without training on it.
- Visitors
- No. Visitors are never asked for personal details; a random id in their browser keeps their chat going.
