The problem it solves
Most of a small business's customer questions are the same few, asked again and again: how much is shipping, can I return this, what size should I get, are you open on Sunday. A store owner on Shopify's own forum put it simply: “You end up typing the same few answers all day long.” And when nobody is there to answer — at night, at the weekend, while you're busy — the customer may simply leave.
Agent Forja answers those questions for you, any hour, from your own information — and passes the ones that need a person to you.
What it does
- Reads your website — products, prices, sizes, policies and help pages — and your files.
- Answers customers in their own words, from your information, not from the internet.
- Shows real products as cards with photos and prices, and on Shopify and WooCommerce, Buy now goes straight to your cart.
- Hands a chat to you when a person is needed; you answer by email or from the dashboard.
- Shows you what it couldn't answer, and how accurate it is, so you can fill the gaps.
Who it's for
Small businesses that answer the same customer questions every day and don't have a developer or a support team: online shops — on Shopify, WooCommerce or any other platform — restaurants, tutors, service businesses and support desks.
What makes it different
- It reads any website. Shopify and WooCommerce are read directly; any other store is read from its web address — no app, no API key, no product feed to set up.
- Only real conversations count. A chat counts once your agent has given 3 replies, so a “hi” or one quick question is free.
- It doesn't make up prices. Every price and number in a reply is checked against your data before a customer sees it; if it can't be confirmed, the chat comes to you.
- You stay in the loop. Answer handoffs by email or from the dashboard; see the questions it couldn't answer and a self-test score.
- Minutes, not a project. You build it by chatting, from your phone if you like, and the AI is included in every plan.
When it isn't the right fit
It isn't the right tool if you need chat on WhatsApp (Instagram and Messenger direct messages are coming soon); order lookups or changes ("Where's my order?") — not yet; a live-chat inbox for a team of support agents; or bookings and payments taken inside the chat. And if you're on Shopify and Shopify's free Inbox app already does what you need, keep it.
Will it help you sell more?
It can. It helps shoppers find the right product: it understands what they're looking for in their own words, shows matching products with photos and prices, answers the questions that stop people buying — shipping, returns, sizes — and sends them to the product page or straight to your cart. How much it adds depends on how you use it: where you put it and how many shoppers see it.
Is it worth it?
Do the sum with your own numbers. Starter is $49 a month for 100 counted chats — about 49 cents a chat — and short chats are free on top. Compare that with the time spent answering the same questions, and with the questions nobody answers at night. If you only get a handful a month, the Free plan (20 chats a month, no card) may be all you need.
